Today is the Sports Awards recognizing our GLHS student-athlete in our PSAL Teams: Girls Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Softball and Boys Baseball. The event will take place at 4:00PM until 6:00PM in Room 103. The event is for current and active GLHS student-athlete in our PSAL Teams only.

Today, Monday, June 3rd, is a regular school day. And tomorrow, Tuesday, June 4th, is the Algebra I Regents which will start at 9:15AM. Students who are not taking the Algebra I Regents do not need to come to school. Check in with your math teacher if you are scheduled to take the test. Good luck!

There will be an AP Fair and AP Prom on Friday, May 31st. The AP Fair will take place in the gym from periods 2 to 4. Teachers can bring their classes to the gym to participate in the fair. Then during periods 5-8, we will hold an “AP Prom” to honor and celebrate our students who have taken on the challenge of AP classes and/or other elective sequences. The AP Prom is by invitation only.

The Regents Week is fast approaching. Students will be receiving their Regents Invitation this week to know which Regents they are taking and when. Students are only required to come to school on the day of the Regents that they are scheduled to take. Please see the attached schedule.
The Boys' Baseball Team is playing against Grand Street Campus for the Quarterfinals today at American Legion Field 1 in Brooklyn at 3:30PM. The game was rescheduled from yesterday. If the Generals win today, they advance to the semifinals game against Monroe Campus scheduled for May 31st. Go Generals!

Congratulations to the Boys Baseball Team as they advance to the Quarterfinals today. The boys defeated defending champions Tottenville High School last Friday to advance to the quarterfinals. Today, they will play against Grand Street Campus at 3:30PM at American Legion Field 1 in Brooklyn. Go Generals!
There will be a Color Day for all grade levels on Friday, May 24th. The SENIORS will also have their Carnival in the gym from Period 6 to 6:00PM, this event will be for SENIORS ONLY. The Colors Tournament will be canceled and rescheduled for a later date. The school will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day Observance.

All students who missed the NYSESLAT test will be able to make up for the test starting today. The NYSESLAT Make Up Test Schedule are as follows: Wednesday (May 22) - Cafeteria, Period 1 to Period 3; Thursday (May 23) - Room 310, Period 6 and Period 7; and Friday (May 22) - Cafeteria, Period 1 to Period 3. Please see Ms. Cepeda to confirm if you need to take the test.
