Welcome back, Generals! Tomorrow is the second day of the school year and classes will run on a shortened schedule. Tenth (10th) period will end at 1:30PM and ALL students will meet with their school counselors during the townhall. ALL students will be dismissed at 2:50PM. There is an Algebra I Mock Regents tomorrow starting at 8AM. All students taking the Algebra I Regents are encouraged to attend. Ms. Garcia also has tutoring at 9AM for students taking the English Regents. (Photo from istock).
We are celebrating our students taking AP classes today! There will be an AP Fair in the gym between periods 2-4 today, all are welcome to join. Then from periods 6-8, all students taking AP classes are invited to join the AP Prom in room 103 - ONLY FOR STUDENTS TAKING AP classes.

HAPPY TEACHERS AND STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK!!! Teachers and staff were celebrated throughout the week to appreciate each and everyone's dedication in making a positive impact in the lives of our students and families. Today, the staff and seniors participated in Staff-Student Swap Color Day. Staff dressed up as students and Seniors dressed up as GLHS Staff.

2.The NYSESLAT Speaking assessment begins tomorrow, The reading, listening ,and writing assessment will take place on May 12th and 13th.
3.The girls softball team has a game today at 4PM in Harris Park. The girls will be playing against In-Tech Academy. Good luck, let's go Generals!
4. The last day of the marking period is this Friday,April 24th. Students please consult with your teachers to check on your progress in class. Seniors who fail classes will lose their lunch privileges to go out. Juniors who are in the honor roll will be able to get lunch privileges to go out.
5. The following announcements are for seniors: a. There will be a Prom Dress Giveaway Event on Wednesday , April 23. Spots are limited to 25 girls, first come first serve . Please get your permission slips from Ms. Paola. Thank you for your time, have a great day!
