Here are the announcements for today, November 13th:
1. Congratulation to the girls Volleyball team for winning their second round of playoff game yesterday. Tomorrow will be the quarterfinals game in the Gym at 5 PM.
2. Students who will be taking the AP exams in may, please make sure that you register online for your AP courses today is the deadline to register.
3. There will be an SAT Prep class today from 3:15 PM to 5:15 Pm in room 210.
4.Smile Dental New York is in school today to provide free dental services available to all Luperon students in the GYM. Today is the last day.
5.FYI will be hosting Girls group in room C12, Dance in the Cafeteria, and English for adults in room 202 today after school.
6. Coach Olivo wants to remind students that are interested in joining the softball team that practice starts today, every day, from 4:15 PM until 6 PM. Please make sure to secure your permission slips and medical forms.
7.Seniors, please pay your first payment of a $100 to Ms. Santa Bruno as soon as possible.

The basketball team will hold tryouts starting on Thursday, October 16th, from 5:30PM to 7:00PM in the school gym. Students must have their physicals in order to tryout.
The school will be closed on Monday, October 13th, for Indigenous People's Day / Italian Heritage Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 14th.

Monday, October 6th, is a shortened period Monday. Classes start at 8:00am and each period will run for 31 minutes. Tenth period ends at 1:30pm. Please see the schedule below.

Welcome back, Generals! Tomorrow is the second day of the school year and classes will run on a shortened schedule. Tenth (10th) period will end at 1:30PM and ALL students will meet with their school counselors during the townhall. ALL students will be dismissed at 2:50PM. There is an Algebra I Mock Regents tomorrow starting at 8AM. All students taking the Algebra I Regents are encouraged to attend. Ms. Garcia also has tutoring at 9AM for students taking the English Regents. (Photo from istock).
We are celebrating our students taking AP classes today! There will be an AP Fair in the gym between periods 2-4 today, all are welcome to join. Then from periods 6-8, all students taking AP classes are invited to join the AP Prom in room 103 - ONLY FOR STUDENTS TAKING AP classes.

HAPPY TEACHERS AND STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK!!! Teachers and staff were celebrated throughout the week to appreciate each and everyone's dedication in making a positive impact in the lives of our students and families. Today, the staff and seniors participated in Staff-Student Swap Color Day. Staff dressed up as students and Seniors dressed up as GLHS Staff.
